So i went mad this week and bought a boot load of food to show you what to buy to stay in ketosis, making sure you buy the right things is step one to getting your diet nailed.

before you begin with this its much much much easier if you only have in the things you can eat, having a loaf of bread an chocolate in will not help in the first few weeks till the cravings go. hoppyfully your shopping baskets will looks similar, please bare in mind i am on a budget too hence why i dont have as many fancy items as i would like.

side note for the condiments and sauces:
you wont be eating 100ml of the sauces you’ll have 10g max of the condiments and maybe 100ml of the jarred sauces. this means the carb content is minimal at worst you’re looking at 7g

  1. Be careful with the "sugar free" drinks and powdered aspartame. Aspartame is digested by the body, so it is a carb, and a lot of those sweeteners can spike your blood-sugar levels kicking you out of ketosis.

  2. hi. started a high fat low carb diet 16th June (this is my 8th wk) the last 2wks lost 9lbs. I have loads of weight to loose I should weigh about 8st I'm a (5ft nowt lass). when I started my weight was 308lb. I've had no bread or pasta andnot many potatoes in that time. I really miss fruit and I'm struggling to get enough fibre so I got some psyllium husks. the main thing I've changed in the last 2wks I started having an avocado for my evening meal. in fact I tend to have few or no carbs at breakfast. I like your peanut butter suggestion. I've been enjoying some hemp and linseed butter. thanks

  3. Cream in protein shakes is awesome. I order these "ready to drink" protein shakes from Iron Maxx that have water and cream in them as supposed to havingregular milk like protein shakes typically do. No added sugar, 0.6 g carbohydrates per 330 ml serving and the best tasting protein shakes ever! :-)

  4. Your have a great personality and made me chuckle a few times. Can see you don't take life too seriously and seem to take things in your stride. Ĺove the idea that you are using local supermarkets and the cheaper brands to prove doing keto is doable…

  6. HOLY FOOOOK! Watching your video I couldn't believe how much stuff you eat! How many calories do you consume a day? I typically 50/50 protein and fat for breakfast, LOTS OF FAT at lunch, and I salad down for dinner. I consume around 2.2k a day.

  7. OK we definitely have similar shopping styles (asda is my usual go-to as well!). didn't know about asda's own dry mozzarella and corned beef, those are definitely better alternatives to what I was getting atnthe moment. I find Iceland is my best go to for meat related thibg a though (they have a 23% fat mince) and if its of any help tescos own brand soft cheese has many less carbs (2.6g) and also carries duerrs peanut butter which has an outstanding 4g carbs per 100g!
