Not eating cheese burgers and shakes is not eating clean or a big discovery. Avocados? That was in the 80's. "Whatever they gave me as a portion I halved it?"     The emphasis on high protein diets these days is just ridiculous.

    I agree with much of what they said in the video but the whole anti carb thing in "diets" today is just stupid.

    yes…if you're eating refined sugars….white bread…etc….then yeah….carbs are bad.

    But there is not a better source of energy for your body that complex carbs. That IS what we have evolved to eat.

    People wrongly think that if they go paleo diet or something like that they are modeling our "true" biological roots and the way we were "meant" to eat. But they totally ignore the fact that they are going TOO far back.

    We've been 'farming' and eating mostly plant based for over, at minimum, 12 000 years. lol. 12 000 years. That IS our evolutionary history right there. Our bodies have the evolutionary traits to match. Virtually meaningless canine teeth. Mostly incisors and molars like herbivores. Long intestines like herbivores. We are are already several steps removed from the humanity that was hunter gatherer.

    We've evolved for processing carbs efficiently with small amounts of animal proteins as a supplement with them. The body cannot store excess protein.

  5. I took up the Keto diet… Dropped 24lbs in 8 weeks.. Feeling great and have tons more concentration at work.. Never going back to refined carbs and sugars… Can't believe I'm not dead with the amount of shit I've been slamming into my fat face for the last 35 years.

  6. eating healthy is so important im an apprentice on a construction site, and everyday I eat a container or mixed vegetables for lunch an almond butter sandwich and some type of meat like roast beef or chicken and, I can work for long periods of time without crashing unlike my other coworkers and I dont feel hunger pains like many people do throughout the day.

  7. McDonalds and other fast food restaurants need to do more to make the food they sell healthier by reducing the (trans) fat, salt, sugar and additives in them. They should also pay their employees enough so that they are not below the poverty level and need to apply for government assistance to survive. These companies need to make more effort to take care of their customers health and employees well being. More advertising is not needed. Better (healthier) products are.
    Send an email to their customer service department asking for healthier food products.

    Food should not be bad for you…… processed food has too much (trans) fat, salt, sugar and additives in them making them unhealthy. People need to go to their favorite food processors website, click on the CONTACT link and send them an email asking them to reduce the amount of fat, salt, SUGAR and ADDITIVES in the foods they produce. Their common answer is that they are producing what the customers want. You have to let them know that consumers want healthier food choices with less salt, fat, SUGAR and ADDITIVES in them. It only takes a minute to send them an email, tweet, call or text. Food should not be bad for you. There is an obesity epidemic leading to increases in heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer.

  9. Just here to laugh my ass off in how people stupid are. Carbs are sugar too retard. How fast a carb digested depends on glycimic index. Carbs release insulin slowly over time "Dots" if you play wow. Sugar releases it instantly. I can slam sugar after a workout and a meal and it would be mostly used for rebuilding the muscle it's times retard read a book or a take a nutrition class. I can buy the same fucking piece of chicken at Walmart as whole foods unless I'm cutting then I would need to stop salt so u would go to whole foods for chicken.

  10. It's 100% ridiculous. When fat people (Joe is not fat imo) say, that sugar is not good and it makes you tired, they just talk to maybe finally stand THIS diet. Too much sugar makes you fat. That's all there is to it.

    I know both ways as I was forced to eat 100% clean while I was doing a therapy for 18 months – I guess the always told of positive effects should have arrived after a year? Was feeling normal, just like before. After those 18 months of course the first visit was a restaurant in which I filled my belly up with everything that is known to be unhealthy.

    Still felt normal. Nowadays it's clear to me: You can eat, drink whatevery you want, just take care you do enough training and you drink enough. I'd prefer water to drink throughout the day.

    I'm just used to that terrible feeling, eh? Maybe your bad conscience made you tired? Whatever the reason, it's not the processed carbs that made you feel unwell.

    EDIT: It's funny that worcaholics come to tell you, that if you are tired, you had too much processed carbs… they barely slept for 4 hours and after eating something it's the food, that makes them tired.

    Well, Homie, maybe just try to sleep enough. But money, eh?
