37 Replies to “10 DAYS TO KETOSIS: DAY 4 | MY 15 TIPS FOR A KETO DIET + I HAVE PCOS :(”

  1. I love watching your videos and I totally understand what you are going through. I suggest watching the channel Sarah's Day. she is a super sweet fun to watch Paleo channel. she has some really awesome tips for PCOS čÖé

    all the best xoxo´╗┐

  2. Don't get discouraged girly, you have so much willpower that you will fight it all in no time. If other people with PCOS lost weight on keto, hell yeah, you will lose it too!´╗┐

  3. As always…love ya girl….sorry about the PCOS,, but ya know if that's all you pull out of the grab bag of diseases in life then your doin ok čÖé Have a wonderful weekend,,, and thanks for the video !´╗┐

  4. I have PCOS too. I've had it for 24 years. I've gone off of all meds once I started keto. I've lost 50 lbs, my periods are now regular, and my health has improved. Again, with NO MEDS. Please look into holistic methods to heal yourself. Meds are NOT always the answer, even though most doctors will make you believe that there are no other options.´╗┐

  5. Hang in there! Your health issues will improve. I understand that Houston is loaded with the best doctors. Great tips for the keto diet and I am definitely making the chicken recipe.´╗┐

  6. I was diagnosed with pcos/insulin resistance earlier this year and it has been tough but being on keto has made a world of difference. I highly recommend looking into naturopathic doctors for managing this disorder. It's unfortunate but medications only mask the underlying problem. I have been on a clean keto diet and taking herbal tinctures specific to hormones during my cycle and it's helping my body learn how to fix these imbalances on its own. Just a suggestion of course, do whatever you're most comfortable with and good luck girl! Love watching your videos!!!´╗┐

  7. Love your vids, but you can't recommend bacon/sausage having just been diagnosed with PCOS. Those are highly inflammatory foods. Also dairy is no longer your friend. I think it's fine if you want to stay low carb, but you need to talk to someone or even just look up expert advice online about how to alter your diet to help PCOS. This is just friendly advice.´╗┐

  8. be careful about going on medications, and just be very wise, research real alternatives, maybe contact a holistic doctor, just know what your alternatives are, and know what your risks are of going on especially thyroid meds….best of luck to you, and appreciate your cheerful and honest videos.´╗┐

  9. Again this is just my personal opinion. I feel a need to step in and point out some misconceptions that you stated as a way of helping and I'm hoping it comes off as friendly.┬áHere we go. It is a misconception that exercise promotes┬áweight loss (yes it helps in many, many┬áareas, but if weight loss is your main goal you may be disappointed).┬áA good source of info┬áthat I found to be helpful came from┬áGary Taubes book, "Why we get fat and what to do about it" for┬ásome very enlightening┬áscientific facts. And again, my opinion, you eat┬áa lot of┬áprocessed┬áfoods (I'm afraid of them because they have so many chemicals and hidden carbs that I have removed them entirely). For me, I had to back off of dairy too because my body found┬áit a┬ádifficult product to process (may be an issue for you too?) although I┬ácontinue to eat┬ábutter with no problems (Phew).┬á┬áI also had to let go of stevia liquid sweeteners and sugar free syrups in coffee because they caused "sweet" cravings. Yes, I definitely had to increase my salt intake too and I found salt in rock form (for the minerals like magnesium) sea or pink Himalayan is best. The bullion cubes you┬árecommended (Yikes!) are loaded with sugar (2nd on the ingredient list) and corn syrup (4th on the list of the product (Wyler's) I checked). In fact the list of ingredients in such a small manmade product┬áis┬áunbelievably long. I found it┬áis┬áway better to boil your own┬áanimal bones in water and add a heap of salt to the water. It is natural, medicinal (loaded with magnesium & potassium) and delicious. When you mentioned snacks, to be honest, I cringed, sorry.┬áSince my┬ámeals are┬áhigh natural┬ágood fats┬áI no longer feel hungry therefore I have no need for snacks (and maybe a suggestion of dill pickles or olives would be better choices if needed, rather than peanut butter, which I found is another┬áproduct not┬áketo friendly,┬áor jerky- another product loaded with foreign ingredients unless you make┬ájerky yourself). Another misconception is you┬áneed┬áto gaze all day.┬áOn keto┬áI get into burning fat mode, the fat I consume and when that is used up it will go after the fat on┬ámy body for energy.┬áEven after almost 2 years on this lifestyle I'm still amazed at how long I can go without any food- the longest was 72 hours! I know, right?┬áI found if I'm constantly eating┬áI don't give my┬ábody a chance to go after the fat storage.┬áAlso I found it is best, for me to┬ácount┬áfull carbs not net. And for protein I learned through experimenting that fatty protein not lean meat is best for me. You said┬áif it says┬á"sugar free" on the label┬ádo not eat┬áit (which I definitely agree with and why I threw away the coffee syrup) and then you said "sugar free" whipped cream is a lifesaver,┬á(unfortunately it is another processed product that is┬áloaded with chemicals) so I was confused that you would suggest it, although not surprised you are craving sweet things.┬áI also want to point out that a lot┬áof your suggestions were spot on! There are a few good YouTube videos (like healthfulpursuit) on PCOS that you could check out too, Katherine if┬áany of this┬ácame off harsh I'm sorry and yes I could have just turned it off and not commented.┬áHowever I feel strongly that if my comment┬áhelps you figure out why you aren't losing weight or helps you with your health woes than it would have been worth it. Have a great day!´╗┐

  10. I wish I lived closer to the boarder lol you guys in the states have more options for low carb snacks and food then we do here in Canada. plus in a small dinky town.lol I am going to have make that cream cheese chicken.. I know my kids would love it´╗┐

  11. i also have pcos. after years of trying different diets.. i found this.. started my keto diet the 11th. really hoping this is what will work for me . good luck hun. best wishes.´╗┐

  12. Polyunsaturated fats are the main culprit in PCOS. Unfortunately, alot of Keto/Low Carbers/Atkins/HFLC dieters do not remove those fats when switching to a low carb program. Using condiments like mayonaise because the fat is high, but it is the wrong fat. True KETO/LowCarb is lean meats with added coconut oil, butter, ghee. Olive oil does have some polyunsaturated fat but is very high in monounsaturated which can protect against some poly. Saturated fat is the best source of fat. The other kicker is: most vegetable have polyunsaturated fat, but they are not labeled as the FDA/USDA does not require the companies to list those fats in the nutritional information. Things such as soy bean oil, corn oil, canola oil, avocado oil, walnut oil, grape seed oil, vegetable oil, margarine, and other oxidized/rancid fats.´╗┐

  13. Kat hey thanks for sharing!! pocs sucks so much. love all your tips look forward to the information. trying to better understand keto I am a work in progress. lol the struggle is real been dealing with the same issue for years and finally found a Dr that gets me! lol best wishes to you and keep up the good work!!!:-)´╗┐

  14. Hey girl, I posted on your Instagram too but you might try searching "PCOS thyroid connection" and "PCOS + thyroid". There is a lot of good info out there. Wishing you the very best, hugs, Cathy´╗┐

  15. i am a type 1 diabetic and have had pcos for 20 years, its a sucky thing but your not alone, keto helps also limiting dairy does too,you will have a harder time to lose the weight cuz hormones are whacky,so much fun and yes that is sarcasm´╗┐

  16. PCOS is definitely the root of all my hormonal issues. I have had so many issues with doctors. My doctors tell me I'm too young to have issues with some of my organs that they won't do tests, so frustrating! I'd love to see how you go with the medication, what medication are you on for your PCOS? I'm on the pill for hormonal balance but I still think I'm struggling with weight and hormonal issues.´╗┐

  17. Sorry you are going through so many medical issues but thank God for good doctors! Hang in there kiddo, you have a great attitude!! Great pointers on Keto WOE!!´╗┐

  18. I am earlier on in my keto woe and so far so good. I may have pcos as well (not medically diagnosed) my dr briefly mentioned it once but going through the tests later this month but one thing I was told was to cut dairy out of my diet..did the drs mention anything like that to you? I love dairy so that will be a hard one. Losing weight is a huge struggle but I am determined to win čÖé Keep up the good work. I absolutely love your videos. I am thankful to of found a few really great keto journey's to follow. Have a fantastic weekend :)´╗┐

  19. I also have PCOS to go along with my thyroid issues, it's all interconnected and one piece of that being out of whack can start to take other things along with it. It's not a fun road but it's possible to get it all figured out, a good doctor makes all the difference. I've done better since switching to natural desiccated thyroid meds and not the synthetic ones, may be something to discuss with your endo.´╗┐

  20. I have had PCOS and hypothyroidism for nearly 15 years. Insulin resistance goes along with PCOS, btw. I had my son 13 years ago and he was conceived without drugs. My little miracle. But the only time I've ever been able to lose weight is by a keto diet. And those cheese crisps, you can make your own. A little handful of cheese in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Use no stick spray. Cheese comes out crispy.´╗┐
